911 season 10 is getting closer, and we still have two more months to wait until the premiere on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Despite the long wait, we’re gearing up to get ready for what we might see when the show returns. With so many new potential storylines on the horizon, there are still some storylines we want to see resolved. So which storyline does 911 need to resolve in Season 10?
We’ve often talked about Evan “Buck” Buckley and how he has often searched for love and to have a relationship from the beginning of the series. He has gone on endless dating adventures, been in long-term relationships, and has had some messy breakups. But after a while, it gets to a point where fans want to see him happy and stable.
Of course, just because a character isn’t in a relationship doesn’t mean they aren’t fulfilled. Buck is an incredibly loving character who has rich relationships with those around him. From his sister Maddie Han to his brother-in-law Chimney and his best friend Eddie Diaz, Buck has so much love to give to those around him. But fans just want to see him with someone who can love and support him in the way he does for those around him.
Now, whether this means he ends up with someone fans have been hoping for for a long time or with an ex who he has not gotten closure from, there are endless possibilities for how Buck’s story can play out. At the moment, though, Season 10 will have a slight hitch to the possibility of romance in the future.
Buck recently became a foster parent to Theo, who he helped bring into the world as a sperm donor. Theo’s parents were killed in a car accident, and Buck eventually decided to provide the boy with a home. Season 10 will likely focus more on Buck being a parent rather than getting into a new relationship. Buck would have to think about who he brings to the table, whether he ends up with a man or a woman, who would also be helping to raise Theo.
Season 10 has the opportunity to explore Buck’s new role and to answer the question of where Buck is in regard to dating. He mentioned in an early season 9 episode that he hadn’t felt a connection with anyone since his previous relationship with Tommy Kinard (Lou Ferrigno Jr.) ended. Could Buck find that kind of connection again, even if it might look different now that a kid is involved?
However Buck’s romantic story plays out, 911 needs to resolve that aspect of Buck’s life. It’s been a constant roller coaster for nine seasons with Buck crashing and burning in the love department. He has grown and matured in many ways, and fans want to see him finally be able to settle down with someone. The show needs to determine whether he decides he is happy with where he is now or if someone can enter the picture again and help him with his newly formed growing family with Theo.
