‘Psych: The Movie’: 5 things to know about the new film

The cast and producers of ‘Psych: The Movie’ reunited for the first time since 2013 at San Diego Comic-Con, and we learned some amazing things about the new film!
Psych stars James Roday, Dulé Hill, Maggie Lawson, Kirsten Nelson and Corbin Bernson reunited at San Diego Comic-Con, along with creator Steve Franks and executive producers Chris Henze and Kelly Kulchak, for a panel and Q&A discussion.
Psych: The Movie Synopsis:
"In the movie, the ambitious friends — along with some returning fan-favorite characters — come together during the holidays after a mystery assailant targets one of their own. A comedic thrill ride follows, as the wild and unpredictable Psych team pursues the bad guys, justice… and food!"
At the lively panel, fans also got an exclusive first look at the all-new movie, enjoyed a pineapple sing-a-long, and joined America’s favorite “brofriends” Shawn and Gus as they shared their journey back into the world of Psych! Here are 5 important things we learned about Psych: The Movie:
1. Pineapples
There will be PLENTY of pineapples! The cast teased in the SDCC Panel that they did not even know pineapples were a thing until a few seasons in. After that, they then made a conscious effort to sneakily place pineapples into the show.

2. New teams
We will see two new duos in this movie. First we found out that Gus will finally have a lady by his side, and fortunately for Dulé Hill, she will be played by his fiancé Jazmyn Simon.
Dulé teased that he liked to show her “how it is done” on the set of Psych. Also, Juliet will be getting a new partner over at the SFPD and Juliet is now the top dog over there with Vick.
3. Henry 2.0
Henry takes a new turn. Corbin referred to this Henry as “Henry 2.0.” He teased that he is now cooler and more hip than Shawn, and has even ditched the Hawaiian shirts and traded in for some black ones. Although his style may have changed, he still says Henry is an avid fisherman and has actually moved closer to his boat. We can’t wait to see this new side of Henry!
4. Timothy Omundson to appear
The cast made it very clear that they always have Timothy Omundson on their minds. Even though he was not well enough to film on set, the cast will be filming additional scenes when he is ready. They also mentioned that there will just have to be another Psych movie (or maybe several to really get everyone back together).

5. Musical moments
There will be SINGING! We do not know how singing will be incorporated into the movie, but the cast mentioned that some sort of singing will take place. When asked about dancing, the cast did not have much to say, so we’ll just have to wait and see what they have in store for us!
