Season 6: “The Hauntening”

Season 6 was another solid season with a lot of great episodes, making it almost impossible to chose just one. They really stepped up their game with holiday episodes and it was hard, trying to decide just between the few. While “Glued, Where’s My Bob?” was an amazing end to the series, their Halloween episode, “The Hauntening” was unlike anything the show had explored yet.

The episode follows the Belchers as they try to finally scare Louise. They put on a good front and eventually, are able to scare her as part of an elaborate plot involving Mort and Teddy. It’s interesting, because it’s an awesome holiday episode and an awesome Louise episode, too.

The episode was the perfect mixture of funny and scary, going just dark enough to not be considered too scary. Seeing the look on Louise’s face when she was scared was priceless and it showed the family’s dedication to each other. Some of the laughs in the episode are attributed to the Boyz 4 Now song being played during the episode and the credits, too.

“The Hauntening” took their holiday episodes to an entirely new level and made it about more about the holiday.

Honorable Mentions: “Glued, Where’s My Bob?”, “Sliding Bobs”, “Lice Things Are Lice” and “The Horse Rider-er”
