When Supergirl is sidelined in the opening hour of 2018, Mon-El and The Legion of Superheroes assemble to help protect the city of National City.

The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally upon us: The Legion of Superheroes are suiting up to help save the day while Kara recovers from the injuries sustained during her battle with Reign.
Leading the pack are Mon-El and Saturn Girl – cue eye role in 3,2,1… – who take to the streets (or should we say prison yard?) to battle Reign, who continues her damage throughout the city as Season 3 of Supergirl resumes this January. Suiting up for the first time, the wave of images from the winter premiere offer up our best glimpses of The Legion of Superheroes’ super suits which stray away from the iconic looks we’re used to seeing the likes of Mon-El and Saturn Girl donning in the comics. While the suits may not be what we were expecting, we can look past them because the mean we’re finally going to get to see Mon-El The Legion in action!

Speaking of The Legion of Superheroes, the latest wave of Supergirl images also offers up our first look at DC Comics hero Brainiac 5 (guest star Jesse Rath). Making his debut in the winter premiere, Brainiac 5 will look to use his abilities in an attempt to help Kara awaken from her dreamlike state.

Judging by the images from the episode, it looks like Brainiac 5 will be entering Kara’s mind where he’ll attempt to help her work through whatever it is that is holding her back and keeping her from coming to.

Finally, we’ll leave you with this image of Mon-El looking extremely concerned; concern which we can only hope is for Kara and that is strong enough to make him realize that perhaps he’s not as over her as he cares to admit…
