The first Shadowhunters season 3 trailer is here! See the scene that shocked fans

The first Shadowhunters Season 3 trailer has finally debuted, and the fandom promptly exploded. Find out which scene created the most buzz!

Hell has broken loose, angels. The first Shadowhunters Season 3 trailer has been released, and from the opening shot, it was clear Season 3 isn’t playing any mundane games. We had previously seen a Season 3 sizzle at NYCC, but the new trailer introduces us to the series’ new villain, Lilith.

We were treated to several different looks at the “mother of demons,” including her rebirth from Edom, her use of demonic power in a deserted banquet hall, and a glimpse at a speech she’s giving (to other demons?) about “usher[ing] in a new dawn.” Oh, and there’s the ominous threat of Sebastian/Jonathan’s return!

We didn’t learn too much else about the Season 3A plot, as the trailer focused on some key points we already knew: Jace’s resurrection consequences and Lilith’s determination to bring her “son” back to life. However, we did see a few new exciting clues: Simon appears to have the Mark of Cain drawn on his forehead — along with some new blocking abilities — and we were introduced to the creepiest looking demon I’ve ever seen on the show.
