The Riverdale moment you have been waiting for has finally arrived. No, it’s not the official reveal of Black Hood (we’re allegedly still waiting on that). It’s Archie and Hiram channeling their hyper-masculine tension — Veronica would call it toxic masculinity — into an aggressive fight in the wrestling ring. You’ve seen the photos, now see the fight.
Taking his FBI investigation seriously, Archie puts down the guitar and slides into a wrestling uniform to win over Hiram. Here’s the rock-solid Riverdale logic: Hiram loves the sport, and if Archie’s on the team, the corrupt businessman will spill top secret information. Clearly, Archie’s plan backfires, much to our benefit. Elsewhere, the Picken’s Day festivities find Jughead discovering surprising details about Riverdale’s history and Veronica butting heads with Josie over their performance. And not for nothing, but Betty’s slowly beginning to piece together the puzzle that is her long-lost brother Chic.
Will Archie’s ploy to get closer to Hiram work, or will he wind up worsening their already rigid relationship? What information does Jughead learn about Riverdale’s history and Betty discover about Chic? And can the town celebrate Picken’s Day without issue? "Amidst preparations for the town’s annual Picken’s Day festivities, Jughead interviews Toni’s grandfather and learns some shocking details about Riverdale’s history. In an attempt to get closer to Hiram, Archie tries out for the Riverdale wrestling team after learning of Hiram’s love of the sport. Meanwhile, Betty unearths some dark secrets about her brother Chic, and Veronica and Josie clash as they prepare for their Picken’s Day performance."
