Celebrity Big Brother spoilers from the February 8 recap include the first nominations for eviction. The CBB USA season premiere aired on Wednesday night. CBS viewers got to see what happened when the 11 celebrities finally entered the Big Brother house. At the end of Episode 1, Shannon Elizabeth won the Head of Household Competition. Host Julie Chen warned them a twist was coming.

This Episode 2 recap comes from a live CBS presentation on Thursday, February 8, at 8 p.m. PT/ET. The show recapped what took place during the first episode, with the all-girls alliance taking shape. All six women decided to work together and would hold all the power by the end of the episode. As they re-entered the Big Brother house, each contestant was given a swag bag. Some contained special powers. Called the re-cast power, Shannon might have lost her HOH already.

Getting things started

All of the houseguests were too nervous to open their gift bags. The women re-confirmed their alliance with each other and discussed the pros and cons of what might be inside the bags. Mark McGrath and Ross Mathews discussed it as well, admitting that anything could happen. They also discussed how Shannon was someone to watch out for this season. Could the twist help the guys regain some power?

Later, Shannon read a card about what might be in the bags. Prior to each Nomination Ceremony, the first houseguest to go to the Diary Room and declare they want to open the bag gets the chance to possibly use the secret power. Once it is used one time, all of the gift bags become null and void. If a person with the secret power declares themselves, they would immediately take over as the Head of Household. The bags also held potential punishments, consequently bringing a risk to the situation.

A plan in motion

The women came up with a plan on how to deal with the gift bags. Shannon and Marissa Jaret Winokur came up with the idea that all of the women should try to use the bag as soon as possible to keep the power on their side of the house. If more than one person declared they wanted to open their gift bag, it would go to a random draw.

Mark approached Shannon about working with her but made a crucial mistake. Mark told Shannon that she was one of the biggest threats in the game. She did not take it as a compliment. When she was discussing that conversation with Ross a bit later, he told her that he was interested in siding with the women. Elsewhere in the house, James Maslow and Chuck Liddell figured out that the house was split.

When James sat down with Shannon, he lied about the guys forming an alliance. In a Diary Room session, Shannon noted that she felt he was a strong player and that he needed evicted first. To get to that point, Shannon would need to maintain her Head of Household. The discussions didn’t stop the house from enjoying a spa day.

Omarosa turns to tears

While speaking with Ross, Omarosa started crying about being associated with President Donald Trump. He wasn’t sure that she was being honest and while he was supportive in person, he noted in a Diary Room session that he didn’t know if it was an act. Earlier, Omarosa and Keshia Knight Pulliam discussed her time in the White House. Omarosa compared her relationship with Donald Trump to that of Keshia’s and Billy Cosby. Keshia did not agree.

Time for some Celebrity Big Brother spoilers

Shannon stated that her HOH nominations would be Mark and Metta World Peace. Mark would be a pawn and he would come down in favor of James following the Veto Competition. She then approached Mark, James, and Chuck about not opening their gift bags. Metta had told her earlier that he wouldn’t either, noting that he didn’t mind getting evicted so he could see his family. Keisha added to it, stating that if someone opened the gift bag, they would get nominated instead.

When the chance presented itself, Chuck broke the deal and decided to open his bag. Ross and the six women then carried out their plan to do the same. With eight people requesting to open their gift bags, a random draw was coming. When Marissa went in the room, she didn’t officially request to open her gift bag, avoiding any potential consequences. She didn’t tell anyone what she did.

Shannon approached Chuck about his decision and he knew right away that he was in danger. It was then time to host the Nomination Ceremony. Keisha was randomly drawn and inside her gift bag was the re-cast power. Keshia became the new HOH and Shannon remained safe for the week. Keshia then nominated James Maslow and Chuck Liddell for eviction.
