Strike Back Season 5: Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton will reprise roles
Sgt. Michael Stonebridge and Sgt. Damien Scott will Strike Back on screens in March and April, but only as guest stars.
Strike Back Season 5 is already back on TV and there’s some exciting news for fans of characters Sgt. Michael Stonebridge and Sgt. Damien Scott. Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton will reprise their roles. The downside is that it will only be for two episodes, but at least a little bit of them is better than nothing, right?
Winchester may currently be known as Peter Stone of the DA’s office in the One Chicago franchise (and soon to be in Law & Order: SVU), but he was in Strike Back first. Introduced in the second season of the series, he treated us to the ruggish but handsome British Section 20 Sgt. Michael Stonebridge, who (along with ex-Delta Force Sgt. Damien Scott) was tasked with saving John Porter from a terrorist cell in New Delhi.

Things didn’t quite work out for Porter, who had been the main character in the first season, but they did for both Stonebridge and Scott. The two formed a team that went into the fourth season of the series. Fans were disappointed to see the two leave their screens in 2013, so there’s lots of excitement that they’re coming back, even if it is just for two episodes. Hopefully, the same thing won’t happen to them as happened to Porter in the Season 2 premiere!

During a reunion and training with the new cast members, Stapleton made a comment that they’re not dead yet. Could this be good news for the show, as it hints that the two characters will make it out alive. Both actors are also clearly happy to return for another guest role in the future and offer high praise for the cast that has taken over from them.

Winchester and Stapleton will appear in the final two episodes of the season. These episodes will air on Friday, Mar. 30 and Friday, Apr. 6. The episodes will be available on CINEMAX and on MAX Go for streaming. They’ll also be made available on Amazon Channels, Hulu and more.
