iZombie Season 4: What type of creature will Ravi become?
Rose McIver won’t tell fans if Ravi is going to be a zombie in iZombie Season 4, but she did share an exciting tease.
There’s a big question about iZombie Season 4 right now. Is Ravi a zombie? The last fans saw was that he took a potential vaccine and then had Liv scratch him. We’ve been left since the summer of 2017 wondering whether our favorite human medical examiner would become a zombie or not.
Rose McIver hasn’t given us a straight yes or no answer. Meanwhile, the trailer suggests that it could go either way. McIver hinted that Ravi is something the show has never created before, which suggests that he’s some new kind of creature.

The current theory is that he’s half human and half zombie. This is certainly something that the show has never done before and works with the current trailer. At one point it looks like Ravi is completely human but then he’s seen acting slightly out of character with a bit of silver in his hair.
Does Ravi need brains?
As Ravi’s vaccine was just the first of its kind, it’s highly possible that it worked on a small scale but not enough to prevent zombie-ism. What if the vaccine just slows down the development? It could even prevent some of the negative side effects of being a zombie, but have some of the cravings; almost like Blade in the Blade Trilogy but for zombies instead of vampires.

The good news is the dynamic between Ravi and Liv won’t be compromised, but that doesn’t mean some changes won’t happen. One thing iZombie has been able to achieve is keeping some male-female relationships platonic. Just because you’re the opposite gender and interested in that opposite gender doesn’t mean you have to like them in that way. iZombie has created two platonic male-female relationships for Liv with Clive and Ravi and neither will change too much.
This at least suggests that Ravi isn’t going to start munching on every brain in sight. He may take to eating some and take on some of their personalities, but it sounds like very much the same Ravi in the long-term.
What about the cure?
Despite whatever has happened and whatever creature Ravi has become, he will still look for a cure. It was stolen in the previous season, which forced Ravi to work towards the vaccine. While we don’t know who stole it yet, that will come up early in iZombie Season 4 and it was a surprise to the actor who plays said character. So, it should be a surprise to us.
Ravi’s interest in the cure doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a zombie (or that he’ll be able to use it). He’s always been interested in creating some sort of cure for this virus. He sounds like the same old Ravi.
