General Hospital news: Tristan Rogers returns as Robert Scorpio, interesting story coming soon

Robert and Anna are about to be reunited once again! 

Great news, General Hospital fans! Your favorite super spy will be making his way back to Port Charles very soon. ABC exec, Nathan Varni, confirmed that Tristan Rogers will be returning to his role as Robert Scorpio as he dished in an interview with Carly Brockl on Daytime After Dark. The writers are apparently working on what Varni called ‘an interesting story’ for this well-known character.

Robert to the rescue?

The handsome Australian has been off the General Hospital radar since 2016. Tristan was back for a short stint for about a month and has not been seen in Port Charles since. However, Anna Devane has been in contact with his character over the phone multiple times. Robert Scorpio has been sending her information over the past year or so on Valentin Cassadine and Cesar Faison. But she may need him now more than ever.

The actor himself also took to social media to confirm Nathan Varni’s news. He said that he will begin filming on March 19.

While the details of his potential story line has not yet been revealed, he may just show up to help Anna locate her child she had with Faison. On the other hand, she may have already found the son or daughter she gave up before Robert returns. So, he could possibly come back to PC for another reason altogether.

GH fantasy weekend

Tristan Rogers is also slated to be a part of a few GH Fantasy events next month. He could possibly dish a little bit by then on his return to General Hospital. It is always an exciting time when Robert Scorpio makes it back on screen. According to a tweet by fellow GH actor, William deVry, Rogers has some good stories to tell.
