Big Brother 20 casting is underway, fans already getting excited

CBS and producers are putting together the Big Brother 20 cast. The upcoming season of BB20 will air during summer 2018. It is expected to debut at the end of June.
News that the Big Brother 20 casting is underway is no secret. Host Julie Chen noted it on her show, the Big Brother Twitter account is advertising about it, and there is even a website set up for potential houseguests. The new site advertises that they are now accepting applications.
The site also advertises an application deadline of April 22, 2018. That’s still almost two months until the BB20 applications are due, but it’s never good to wait until the last minute. There are also eligibility requirements to be on the Big Brother 20 cast, which are located at a secondary site.
Big Brother 20 casting expectations
A lot of viewers are expecting a lot from the Big Brother 20 cast. The first season of Celebrity Big Brother disappointed some fans. With several houseguests quitting and others stating the game was too hard, some viewers didn’t enjoy the winter season. Now, it’s important for CBS to bounce back with a strong cast. Can a good group of houseguests make people forget the downsides of Celebrity Big Brother? We won’t know for sure until the summer rolls around.

In order to have strong Big Brother 20 casting, people need to send in applications. That’s the only way to guarantee a lot of new blood on the show. Will there be a twist this summer? CBS hasn’t revealed that yet. In recent seasons, returning houseguests have played a big part. Paul Abrahamian returned from Big Brother 18 to play in Big Brother 19. He ended up making it all the way to the final two. He still lost to Josh Martinez.
Still the reality competition champ
Even after 19 summer seasons, an online season, and a winter celebrity installment, the Big Brother franchise is still a rating success for CBS. The show brings in a lot of dollars for the key viewing demographics and that promotes the longevity of the program. The Celebrity Big Brother ratings were good enough to hint at a second season in winter 2019. Before that, the Big Brother 20 cast comes to primetime. A date for the season premiere hasn’t been revealed yet, but that date will likely fall toward the end of June 2018.
