When your business is struggling, you need a mentor. That’s exactly what Moonshiners: Whiskey Business is offering. Tim Smith, a moonshiner and distillery business expert, is traveling the country to help struggling distilleries make changes and see success.
Smith once developed his own moonshine but soon decided it was time to put his family’s secret recipe on the shelves where it belonged. After making his own success, he learned what made distilleries fail and succeed. Rather than just sit on the knowledge, he’s helping other businesses. They owners will need to take his advice if they want to see success.

Smith is not ashamed of where he’s come from. One of his best lines from the trailer for the special is:
"“Maybe my back-woods technology can rub off on them a little bit.”"
It’s a point that his knowledge may not involve the latest state-of-the-art technology, but it definitely works. That’s the main thing, right? Of course, most people will see it as outdated, until they see the results he brings.

In this exclusive sneak peek, we find Smith at Missouri Ridge Distillery, where the computers are doing all the moonshining work. The team has seven days to change the face, which literally includes turning one of the original buildings into a new aging room on a tight budget.
During the 2-minute, 45-second clip, you’ll learn all about the distillery and the things at stake, along with the nerves of those behind the business. There’s certainly a helpless feeling from the owners of the distillery, but they’re putting everything into Smith’s knowledge and expertise.
