The cast and crew of This Is Us are keeping busy until the series returns for Season 3. From movies to reality TV, here’s three things to get excited about!

Let’s be real. We love This Is Us, and we’re excited for Season 3 to premiere this September on NBC, but that’s still so far away. It’s hard to maintain excitement for new episodes when there’s still some six odds months standing in our way. But what can we get excited about in the meantime? Thankfully, our Pearson family keeps busy.

While we’re waiting for This Is Us, we could binge-watch a few other family shows. But we could also retain our focus to the extracurricular activities of the cast and crew that has absolutely nothing to do with the show. Hey, if you love them on This Is Us, chances are you’ll love their work elsewhere. Here are three things should get excited about!

1. Life Itself

Before creating This Is Us, Dan Fogelman wrote a ton of your favorite movies, such as Cars, Tangled, The Guilt Trip, and Crazy, Stupid, Love. In 2015, Fogelman made his feature directorial debut with Danny Collins, and he returns to the director’s chair with the Amazon Studios film Life Itself. Starring Oscar Isaac, Olivia Wilde, Antonia Banderas, Annette Bening, and many other familiar faces, the film looks like the perfect tearjerker extension of Fogelman’s hit show that all fans will love. Mark your calendars for Sept. 21!

2. Mandy Moore on Who Do You Think You Are?

If you simply can’t get enough of Mandy Moore and desperately want her to get back in the recording studio to make another album, you’re not alone. But the songstress is making us wait even longer for more sweet, sweet tunes. Earlier this month, Moore announced via Instagram that she will be appearing on TLC’s genealogy reality series Who Do You Think You Are? to track down more information about her background. She even documented the trip across the world on her Instragram stories! Look out for her episode this spring.

3. More stars on the big screen!

But that’s not all! You’ll also want to keep your eyes peeled for Mandy Moore in YA sci-fi thriller The Darkest Minds on Aug. 3, Sterling K. Brown to pop up in The Predator on Sept. 14, Milo Vetimiglia to appear in Jennifer Lopez’s romantic comedy Second Act on Nov. 21, and Chrissy Metz to appear in the faith-based drama The Impossible later this year. Our talented cast is headed to the big screen, and This Is Us fans should support their sure-to-be amazing movies!
