Not sure if Grey’s Anatomy is on this Thursday? Well don’t get all dark and twisty! The medical drama and Shondaland staple is all new this TGIT with Season 14, episode 16, Caught Somewhere in Time!

This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy heats up (or cools down depending on where you fall on the divide over the show’s newest ship). Maggie (Kelly McCreary) and Jackson (Jesse Williams) are finally going there. And if relationships weren’t complicated enough when you have an ex who may or may not be an alcoholic and a super important probably groundbreaking but definitely life-changing surgery, Jackson and Maggie will be discovered by none other than their parents who also happen to be married to each other…awkward. Actually massively awkward and things were already awkward to begin with.
And let’s not forget this whole procedure is even happening because it could win Jackson the award he gave Bailey (Chandra Wilson) all that money to use for a contest so he could finally compete for the same prestige as a Harper Avery. So in essence this is really turning into a family affair. And despite the newness (you know the kind where they can’t keep their hands off each other that Grey’s Anatomy loves to tease out so much) of Jackson and Maggie is going to take a backseat to…well everything else. It’s probably too much to hope that everyone will keep their opinion to themselves. But that seems far from unlikely. The question is will that put a damper on the whole thing or spur them on more?
And if that and the vaginoplasty weren’t the most interesting parts of the episode, an astronaut shows up at Grey Sloan Memorial! So prepare for lift off!
