Scandal‘s finale is fast approaching and with only a few episodes left in season 7 that means there are only a few weeks between us the big final episode. And if we’re getting technical there are only about four hours left in the entire series (though I think we can hope for a two-hour series finale at the least!). However, despite the fact that we’re truly heading into the final stretch for everyone’s favorite DC fixer and her team, the good news is that we won’t be knocking out another hour of what’s left in this 18-episode order.
The bad news is that this means there is no new Scandal this week. Instead at 9 p.m. TGIT will officially premiere the Grey’s Anatomy firefighter spin-off Station 19 with a two-hour premiere. So it’s not a long a hiatus. Actually, there are no more hiatuses for Scandal, when it returns at its new time next week.
Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and the Gladiators – oh yeah it definitely seems like the OPA gang is back together and just in time too – will be back to save Charlie (George Newbern) from the government and Cyrus (Jeff Perry) (who no doubt framed him for the plane hijacking) next week! And even though we’re not getting a new episode this week there’s still a great twist!

Grab your favorite bottle of wine and microwave the popcorn, because for more you’ll need to tune in! White hats on, Gladiators it’s time to head back into the sun! For loyal Scandal fans it might come as a shock that the series is leaving it’s usual and comfortable airing hour and moving from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., where it will finish out its final episodes so make sure you have your DVRs set properly when Scandal returns March 29th with season 7, episode 15 “The Noise”. And whatever happens, we’re ready for it…Over a cliff!
