What is the Van Helsing season 3 release date? It’s a big question that has no official answer but we can definitely look at the possibilities and narrow it down to when Van Helsing season 3 is likely to premiere.
The news of season 3 broke at the tail end of 2017, shortly before the season 2 finale. Following the story of Vanessa Van Helsing (Kelly Overton) in a country that is overrun by vampires who are desperate to keep the new vamp-world order, the second season finished with an ending that was completely unexpected and made you demand to the TV gods that Van Helsing season 3 be released now.
So when is the Van Helsing season 3 release date likely to be? How long do we need to wait for the story to continue?
Past release dates
Van Helsing season 1 premiered at the end of July 2016 with a special premiere release and then followed up with the rest of its season from September 2016. Season 2 of Van Helsing premiered on October 5, 2017, and everyone agrees on that day. The point being is that the two previous seasons have had different premiere dates.
That could be for a number of reasons. What it means for season 3, however, is that it could premiere anytime between July and October, as the networks try to keep some continuity between their seasons for both production reasons and for the fans.
Van Helsing season 3 release date hinted at
When the announcement was made that Van Helsing season 3 was a go, Deadline reported that the series would return next fall with a 13-episode season. That “fall” return was also highlighted by other sources.
A fall return means a release date would be scheduled for either September or October.
Production began in February
Production for season 3 is underway. After the announcement that show had been renewed, plans for production got underway immediately. The later production begins, the later the premiere will be since time is needed for filming, editing, and reviewing episodes.

So when is the Van Helsing season 3 release date likely to be?
During the fall is your best bet, as Deadline mentioned. Until we get further confirmation or more details, all the information to hand points at a fall date. Considering season 2 aired in October it would make sense to keep it the same for season 3.
Another hint against July is production starting in February is not likely to be complete before July. The production timetable supports an October release date.
So if you had to place a bet. The Van Helsing season 3 release date is likely to be October 2018.
