After 12 hours of intense viewing, The Magicians is wrapping up Season 3 with its 13th hour. The Quest for the Seven Keys is coming to an end, with hope that our hapless heroes will be able to turn magic back on. They’ve certainly tried their best over the season, between being overthrown by a narcissistic advisor and deal with alternate timelines.
Last week saw Margo get her eye back and Alice’s actions were finally revealed. Now it looks like Alice is going head-to-head with Dean Fogg, who she says something is as much his fault as her own. What is that something?

We also got elections in Fillory, with Margo coming out on top. This is a character who has had some massive transformations throughout the seasons, turning from Mean Girl to the best female character on the series. She won the animals over.

Then there’s Eliot, who now has to give up being the main ruler and now act as the shadow ruler. It’s not going to be easy for him, but he’s supportive of his best friend. The best thing is these two are back on track with their friendship after that extremely messy situation in The Magicians Season 2.
Of course, the big question about the episode is to do with some of the promo images. Prometheus and Calypso are involved and they look to be locked away somewhere. Are they what the seven keys are for and will they help to turn on magic?
