Shadowhunters season 3, episode 9 and 10 preview: Who’s in the most danger?

If you thought your emotions were going to be rooted in the Clary/Jace or Alec/Magnus storylines, you’d better start preparing for Simon Lewis to give you all. of. the. feels. Alberto Rosende’s performance is the best of the season, and when he’s forced to face Heidi, Becky, and his mother, he makes life-changing decisions that really develop Simon as a character and leave us in shock (with that bit of Simon comedic relief that we all know and love).

We know from the teaser trailer that the Lewis family will be in danger at a family dinner and that Heidi will cut Becky’s neck to tempt Simon to attack her, but there are unexpected decisions made by Simon about his future that will leave you heartbroken. At the same time, however, Simon will find a new ally, someone we hope will stick around more in season 3B as someone he can trust and continue to build a relationship with.

We also know from the released photos that Jordan will be bringing Simon’s shirt to Isabelle at the Institute so she can try to track him, which means that Jordan has “lost” Simon in some way. With Heidi present at the Lewis family dinner, it’s safe to say that she will be involved in why Simon has seemed to disappear, and it will prompt both Jordan and Izzy to get on the case, putting themselves in danger along the way.

For the Sizzy fans out there, there are moments in both episodes 9 and 10 of the pair, and those famous Lightwood family hugs are going to be needed in more than one scene. Even with the Mark of Cain, Simon finds himself in a several extremely dangerous situations throughout the finale, and his decisions will leave your jaw on the floor in the last minute of episode 10.
