Deadpool 2 has the best post-credit scene of all-time
By Sandy C.
Forget all post-credit scenes you have ever seen, Deadpool 2 tops them all.
Deadpool 2 is in theaters this Friday, May 18, but early showings begin tonight! Excited? You should be! Earlier last week, we attended the advanced screening for Deadpool 2 in Dallas and are happy to share the sequel is amazing. Nonstop action, huge laughs, and jam-packed with pop culture references. You’ve got to see this movie in a crowded theater with other fans.
The fun does not stop when the credits roll, it continues throughout — no waiting necessary! You may have to watch this movie twice. Not only because it’s great, but to catch everything you missed, post-credit scene included. There’s just so much to unpack!
If you haven’t seen Deadpool 2 in theaters yet, spoilers ahead! Continue only if you’ve watched the movie or don’t mind the spoilers…
A superhero movie is not complete without a good post-credit scene teasing what’s to come or at least giving us a laugh. Deadpool 2‘s bonus footage does more than bring laughter, though, it saves lives and makes the world a better place by getting rid of a few…mistakes.

In the movie, Cable (Josh Brolin) uses a time-travel gadget that eventually can no longer work. The first post-credit scene snippet features Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildenbrand) and her girlfriend Yukio (Shiori Kutsuna) fixing the device and giving it to Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds). Let the fun begin…
First, Wade Wilson goes back in time to saving his love, Vanessa (Morena Baccarin). His next mission is saving the life of a character who had a tragic, but hilarious, ending. We won’t spoil who.

That was fun, but the real laughs kick in when Wade travels back in time to fix a couple of things that never should have happened. He steps into X-Men Origins: Wolverine to kill that movie’s version of Deadpool, yes, the one with the closed mouth (also played by Reynolds). He then turns to Wolverine and tells him he’s cleaning up the timelines.
This cuts to a scene with a younger-looking Ryan Reynolds reading a movie script. It’s the script for Green Lantern, one of Reynolds’ regrets. Deadpool shoots Reynolds (himself?) in the head.
