The BB20 cast is nearly set. Robyn Kass, who serves as the Big Brother casting director, just made a big announcement on Twitter. It shows that CBS is getting closer to revealing those names to the viewers.

Big Brother 20 begins at the end of June and the casting has entered its final stage. On Thursday (May 24), Big Brother casting director Robyn Kass posted that the semifinalists have been notified. While she didn’t reveal how many people are still in the running, it means they are really close to finalizing the BB20 cast.

Getting ready for the BB20 cast

With the Big Brother 20 season premiere on June 27, there isn’t much time left to get the BB20 cast set. This is an exciting stage for fans, as it means the countdown is on until the network finally releases all the names. As previously reported by Inside the BB House, a new preview for the show was rolled out this week. The video is intended to produce some additional buzz and to get people talking about the reality competition show again. It worked. Twitter users can’t stop talking about it.

Show producer Allison Grodner previously revealed that the BB20 cast will not be a season of All-Stars. Applications were open for a while in order to put together an entirely new group of houseguests. Then, Kass announced that applications had closed on April 23. From there, the review of submissions and interviews really began. Now, everything is entering the final stages.

The Big Brother Season 20 schedule

The other great news is that CBS revealed the full Season 20 schedule. It all starts with the season premiere, airing at 8 p.m. PT/ET on June 27. Following the two-hour opening night, the CBS schedule has the show on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Wednesday nights, episodes are at 9 p.m. PT/ET this summer. It’s a small change, with Sunday episodes still at 8 p.m. PT/ET and Thursday night still airing at 9 p.m. PT/ET. While none of this gives fans all the information currently craved, it’s a huge step toward the season kicking off. This is also about the time that many Big Brother cast rumors start popping up on Twitter. Take them all with a few grains of salt. Unless, of course, it’s Julie Chen or Robyn Kass writing about them.
