Big Brother 20 gets started on Wednesday night (June 27), meaning the revelations are going to come quickly and be numerous. The BB20 cast is ready for the CBS audience to get to know them.

Big Brother 20 spoilers from this June 27 episode recap will include a lot of information. The BB20 cast will get introduced at the beginning and there should quickly be a Head of Household Competition to get things rolling. It also shouldn’t be long before the drama really gets cooking between the new houseguests.

Live June 27 episode recap

This article will serve as a live June 27 episode recap. Beginning at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET, a lot of Big Brother 20 spoilers are going to make their way onto this article. As Episode 1 continues, Inside the BB House will provide information as quickly as we see it. It should be an action-packed night and there is a strong possibility of a cliffhanger at the end of the episode.

Earlier today, the Big Brother 20 swimsuit photos were revealed. In them, the new BB20 cast is posing by the pool in the backyard. It has become an annual event for people in the Big Brother house and it gives viewers another look at the 16 new faces. But, will a former houseguest or two show up during the season premiere?

More Big Brother 20 spoilers coming

The catch with this June 27 recap is that it can’t reveal everything that has taken place in the Big Brother house so far. Most of the episode is pre-taped and June 28 will serve as Part 2 of the event. It means the production team still has a lot of information under wraps. When the CBS live feeds finally get turned on after Episode 2, many more Big Brother 20 spoilers will immediately become available.

Make sure to come on by Wednesday night, as a live Big Brother recap will take place here. CBS has released very little information about this season, and as a result, there could be surprises in store.

Host Julie Chen takes the stage (8:00 p.m. ET)

Julie Chen let the audience know that 240 contestants have played the game and nearly $10 million has been awarded through the first 19 seasons of the show. She announced that houseguests from every season were in the audience to help them celebrate.

Three “epic” competitions were advertised, with a special power set to be revealed by the end of the night.

BB20 cast introductions

Welder Samantha Bledsoe (27), lifeguard Tyler Crispen (23), and model/flight attendant Bayleigh Dayton (25) were the first three people introduced. The next two were retired NYPD detective and current university professor Steve Arienta (40) and life coach Kaitlyn Herman (24). The last three from the first group of eight were medical sales rep and dog lover Winston Hines (28), fitness model Angela Rummans (26), and professional dancer JC Mounduix (28).

The first eight houseguests were then shown in front of the Big Brother house with host Julie Chen. She congratulated them on joining Season 20 and told them to say goodbye to the outside world. It was time for them to open the doors and get the season started. Tyler, Bayleigh, Samantha, and Winston entered the house first. Shortly after that, Steve, Kaitlyn, Angela, and JC got to enter the BB house as well. It turned out Tyler lives in the same city that Angela is from.

Continued BB20 cast introductions (8:21 p.m. ET)

Las Vegas performer Rachel Swindler (29), day trader Chris “Swaggy C” Williams (23), and stay-at-home mom Angie “Rockstar” Landby (34) were the first three of the second group to be introduced. Cybersecurity worker Brett Robinson (25) and professional football player Kaycee Clark (30) were the next two. The final three houseguests introduced this season were gamer and shipping manager Scottie Salton (26), Texas A&M student Haleigh Broucher (21), and substitute teacher Faysal Shafaat (26).

Haleigh, Scottie, Faysal, and Kaycee were the first four people from this group to enter the Big Brother house. Excitement ensued. Rachel, Chris, Brett, and Rockstar joined them soon after. That put all of the Big Brother 20 houseguests in the game (16 of them). After they all introduced themselves, it was time to start investigating the house. It took them a while, but they finally figured out where the second bedroom is (right behind the first one).

Julie Chen time (8:47 p.m. ET)

Host Julie Chen came up on the main television screen, giving hints about what would be coming this summer. Upgraded powers and punishments and a technology theme were teased to the houseguests. Everyone was told to get into their gear and head to the backyard.

BB Computer Competition (8:50 p.m. ET)

A competition appeared ready for the competitors in the backyard. Julie Chen announced that the winner will have the ability to keep eight houseguests safe and put the remaining eight in jeopardy. It was a huge tease leading up to a long commercial break. More Big Brother 20 spoilers from this June 27 recap awaited viewers in the second hour of Episode 1.

First competition (8:55 p.m. ET)

Two separate competitions were set to take place. One group of eight houseguests were in an escape room. They had to find hidden folders in the dark. Once finding a folder, they would emerge from the room and find out what it said inside. Six said “escape” and one said, “escape and play.” Anyone who didn’t find a folder would be receiving a punishment.

Tyler, Bayleigh, and Brett got out quickly. Rachel was out next. Angela got the “escape and play” folder, leaving just three people at risk of a punishment. JC and Winston got out next. This meant that Kaycee would get a punishment.

Second competition (9:07 p.m. ET)

The other eight houseguests had to compete in a competition to prove that they were not a robot. Finishing last would land someone a punishment from this group as well. One person would advance to face off against Angela to compete for the first major power of the season. To win this challenge, the houseguests had to spell the word houseguest out of blocks stacked up toward the ceiling. Swaggy C won and moved on. Sam finished last, earning a punishment.

Time for deals (9:21 p.m. ET)

Swaggy C approached Angela, discussing who they would protect and who they would put at risk. Angela told Swaggy C that she planned to save her own platform, which led to Swaggy C making some angry comments in a Diary Room session. Did Angela make a mistake not cutting a deal with him before the competition?

Third competition (9:23 p.m. ET)

Angela and Swaggy C started an endurance challenge in the backyard. They each had to stand on elevated surfboards. The last one standing would win the competition. Could this be the most important of the Big Brother 20 spoilers from the season premiere? Or would the punishments have a bigger impact on the BB20 cast?

The competition went on for a while, with both houseguests doing well. Eventually, Angela fell, meaning Swaggy C won the power. He then got to select seven people who would immediately be safe. Safe from what? That was still a secret. Julie Chen then told him that he could protect two groups of four, based on what group they were in when they entered the Big Brother house. Those eight people would be safe from eviction.

Chris “Swaggy C” Williams chooses safe houseguests (9:35 p.m. ET)

More important Big Brother 20 spoilers came during the final 25 minutes of the June 27 episode. Swaggy C was instructed to pick who was going to be safe. His group also had Rachel, Rockstar, and Brett in it, so they were quickly chosen to be safe. He then debated who to save after that, as many people campaigned and tried to convince him to use the safety on them. He would finish that decision later.

Punishments (9:47 p.m. ET)

Kaycee received the “pinwheel of doom punishment,” while Sam was given the punishment of being a robot in the BB house. Sam basically controls a rolling video screen that takes her spot in the house. She can see everyone and speak to them, but she isn’t in the house and will have difficulty interacting with anyone.

Julie Chen came on the screen to explain the punishments. Kaycee has to wear the unitard until the first live eviction. If her pinwheel starts spinning, she must remain in the room that she is in when it starts moving. Sam will be a robot until the first live eviction.

Big Brother 20 spoilers: Final safety meeting

Wrapping up the June 27 Big Brother 20 recap, Swaggy C had to choose the other group of houseguests he wanted to be safe from the first eviction. He went with the other group that walked in with him, saving Scottie, Kaycee, Haleigh, and Faysal.

The episode concluded without a Head of Household Competition, meaning that footage will likely get revealed during Episode 2 on June 28. Those are potential Big Brother 20 spoilers that already got leaked, but none of it has been confirmed.
