4. Rayshun LaMarr had people raising lighters in the air.

Listen, guts are an absolute requirement if you plan to sing “Don’t Stop Believin'” in your blind audition. Not only did Rayshun display the bravery to choose the song, but he also knocked it out of the park. His unique composition of the Journey classic was incredible. Displaying impressive range, Rayshun belted out long notes when he needed to, and clearly had the chops

Within the first few notes, his amazing voice compelled Adam to slap the button with an urgency. Goosebumps follow in only a few short sentences afterward. For some reason Kelly and Blake don’t turn for his outstanding performance and peculiar timing. Rayshun deserved a four-chair turn.

The semi-finals were Rayshun’s final stop. Singing a slower song wasn’t great for his life on the show, and he subsequently didn’t get enough votes to continue. It’s a shame, too, because his performance of “Fallin‘” was absolutely breathtaking.
