Big Brother 20 pulled out all the stops for its July 26 episode. Leading up to the Week 4 eviction ceremony, not even the live feeds viewers knew for sure who was going home next. It meant that the episode itself could present a lot of new spoilers for fans.

The July 26 Big Brother 20 recap begins with the “previously on Big Brother” segment. The top-trending power for Sam Bledsoe, called the Bonus Life, covered a segment. Then, the lies Brett Robinson told during the last Eviction Ceremony were shown. It led to Rockstar yelling at Brett, possibly putting a target on her back later.

Sam won the Endurance Challenge to become the new Head of Household. She then nominated Katilyn Herman and Haleigh Broucher for eviction. Faysal Shafaat won the Power of Veto and used it to save Haleigh from the block. Sam used Rockstar as the replacement nominee, after momentarily considering putting JC Mounduix on the block.

Veto Ceremony fallout

Sam was shown first in a Diary Room session, stating that the ladies would have a chance to battle back. Then, Kaitlyn was shown crying, stating that she couldn’t believe Faysal lied to her. She probably forgot all the lies that she told him. Maybe this was the karma she had talked about before? A lot of time was spent on Kaitlyn crying, but Faysal was sown finally confronting her about what she did during the Swaggy C eviction.

Another segment was shown where people acted surprised about the Bonus Life app. Rachel Swindler, who was told about it by Tyler Crispen weeks ago, was the one speaking with Sam the most about it. Tyler was shown in a Diary Room segment, where he said “keeping her around for as long as I can use her,” showing why she wants her to stay in the BB20 house. It took 12 minutes before the first smiles of the episode, where Haleigh celebrated in the Storage Room with Faysal. Could this be a turning point for her own game?

JC Mounduix joins the show

For the first 30 days in the BB20 house, JC has been doing what he was told to do. On this episode, he finally shared his opinion. JC wanted Kaitlyn out of the game and wasn’t shy about stating it. Tyler tried to convince him that Rockstar was a bigger target, but he wasn’t buying the stories this time.

Kaitlyn got another cry-segment when Faysal tried to speak to her about how she was doing. She began begging him to help save her from getting evicted. He noted in a Diary Room session that he had to start just telling her what she wanted to hear to abate her emotional swings. The number of tears during the Big Brother 20 season after going to make people think a lot about Amber from Big Brother 8.

Rockstar tries to count her votes

Haleigh, Bayleigh Dayton, Faysal, and Scottie Salton were on board to keep her over Kaitlyn, but she was very unsure about any of it. With JC on their side, it meant they had enough votes to tie it at 5-5 and force Sam to break the tie as the HOH.

Sam later spoke with Tyler, stating that if there was a tie, she was ready to vote out Kaitlyn. Tyler had a Diary Room session where he admitted to having a difficult time deciding what to do. Sam also had some very colorful things to say about Kaitlyn, noting that she was not going to lose to her this season. She simply wouldn’t let it happen.

Week 4 Eviction Ceremony

Rockstar and Kaitlyn Herman gave their eviction speeches and it was then time to get to the eviction vote. It would take six votes for someone to get sent out the front door.

JC Mounduix voted against Rockstar. Bayleigh Dayton, Haleigh Broucher, and Faysal Shafaat all voted to evict Kaitlyn. Brett Robinson, Tyler Crispen, Angela Rummans, Kaycee Clark, and Rachel Swindler all voted to evict Kaitlyn as well. Scottie Salton then closed out the voting by naming Kaitlyn. By a vote of 9-1, Kaitlyn Herman was evicted from the Big Brother 20 house.

Bonus Life puzzle

Kaitlyn was told that she would have to earn her way back inside the BB20 house. If she won a challenge she would return, but she would be heading home if she lost. She then went upstairs to the BB App Store to do a puzzle. Kaitlyn was given a puzzle version of herself and she had to take it apart and put it back together in 150 seconds to survive this eviction.

Social media was going crazy as she tried to figure out the puzzle, calling it way too easy and making fun or production for what was taking place. She did not finish the puzzle in time, though. Host Julie Chen told her that she was eliminated from the game and needed to make her goodbyes. Kaitlyn Herman becomes the fourth evicted houseguest of the season. She then left for her one-on-one meeting with Julie Chen.

That brings an end to the July 26 Big Brother recap. No time is left to do the Head of Household Competition before the one-hour episode comes to an end. It appears that this information is going to get revealed later on the live feeds. They also didn’t show Tyler hiding under the HOH bed, which was one of the more interesting moments in the BB20 house this past week.
