5. Juliette take on the cult

We got this huge buildup to the cult storyline in the first part of Nashville Season 6. Then there was an episode dedicated to her escape. Great! I thought we were finally getting something major for Juliette this season.

More from Drama

It seems the focus was mostly about her character development, realizing that while Darius’ cult was bad it actually helped her in a way. That would have been fine, but she was putting up a fight to bring Darius’ cult to light. Why didn’t we get more of that?

Sure, in the end, we got Juliette and Avery back together. But without a hint of what had happened to the cult or if it was still going on, it felt a little lackluster.

4. An aftermath for Brad

Alannah, Jessie, and other women finally stood up to Brad. They needed a couple of men to go in there and help, but I could accept that. Alannah turned to people with the legal ability to help in a way.

However, Brad still technically got away with everything he did. He lost his company, but there’s absolutely nothing to stop him from setting up another company in the future. Brad wasn’t named and shamed by the women to the press. For Brad, life can pretty much go on almost as it always has.

So, was there really any resolution in that? It would have been good to see some sort of real aftermath. It felt like this storyline was crafted purely for the #MeToo campaign, but shows that actually maybe the men in power are just going to get away with it anyway.
