Ben Higgins passes on chance to be The Bachelor again
It is time for ABC to pick The Bachelor for 2018. Ben Higgins is one name that was being thrown around for the job, but it turns out that he doesn’t want to be the guy handing out roses.
Us Weekly shared why Ben Higgins made the choice not to do The Bachelor again. So far, Ben isn’t speaking out, but a source is sharing the details. Ben has been working on a company called Generous Coffee which he is the co-founder of.
It sounds like Ben wants to focus on this company and being The Bachelor again wouldn’t fit in with those plans. The source explained that Ben has settled down and is living a normal life now. He wants to keep it that way.
Ben found love on The Bachelor once with Lauren Bushnell. The two even had a spin-off show for a bit on Freeform. Things didn’t work out for them. Since their split, Ben hasn’t started dating anyone that he has admitted. Lauren had a boyfriend, but these two recently split.

The source went on to explain that fans shouldn’t give up hope that Ben Higgins might decide to take on the job in the future. The source said, “He’s open to the process and really believes that he can find true love on the show. But right now is not the right time.” Ben has stayed involved in the process and even made an appearance on Bachelor in Paradise this past week.
His ex Lauren Bushnell isn’t even against the idea of Ben Higgins going back on the show. She admits that she knows he will make a good husband someday. Now it is all about Ben just finding the right person.
