Final Thoughts – Why It’s Worth Buying!

When purchasing any Blu-ray or DVD collection, the biggest factor in determining whether it’s worth buying often comes down to the collection’s bonus features. Sure it’s great being able to pop the DVD or Blu-ray into your device and re-watch the show’s most recent episodes, but through streaming services and with help from our DVRs we can easily do that without splurging for the physical copy of a release.

What piques fans’ interest and tips the scale in a collection’s favor is the exclusive bonus content it delivers to fans; content only made available through the DVD and/or Blu-ray release. (Though I’ll admit the inclusion of “Scoobynatural” among the season’s episode is enough to tip the scale for me personally.)

Looking at the collection’s bonus features, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment does a great job with balancing the type of bonus content fans expect with exciting content they may not have realized they desperately needed.

Sure the annual SDCC panel, deleted scenes and gag reel would be more than enough to lure fans into purchasing the collection – after all some DVD and Blu-ray collections don’t even deliver these must-haves. However, what makes the Supernatural Season 13 Blu-Ray so special are the additional bonus featurettes which provide fans with never before seen content curated to compliment the season’s iconic talking points.
