2018 marks 10 years of Castiel being part of the series. Good, evil, regular, guest star, angel, leviathan, human, he’s done it all. Here are his 10 best moments, one for each season.

Can you believe that 10 years ago this month we met Castiel? Sometimes it feels like the angel should have been part of our show from the very beginning. Introduced in the Supernatural Season 4 premiere, we’ve watched Castiel turn human, be God, be controlled by Leviathans, lose his memory, side with the Winchesters, and so much more.

It’s time to look back over those last 10 years and pick out his 10 best moments. There’s one for each season that he’s been in. Some seasons that’s ridiculously hard, since he has been both recurring character and series regular. There have been times I’ve toyed with standout moments.

Not all of these are positive moments for Castiel, either. Sometimes, the best moments have been when he’s close to death and expressing his devotion, love, and gratefulness at the Winchesters. I’m sure you can guess which moment in a particular season I have in mind for that moments.

I’ve tried to pick major moments, rather than just one-off funny moments. Maybe I’ll come back with his funniest moments, saddest moments, and even shocking moments from each season in the weeks to come. We have a year to celebrate 10 years of Castiel!

So, here goes nothing. This is in season order just to avoid arguments over trying to rank these best Castiel moments from Supernatural.
