The Emmy & Golden Globe Award® winning series Modern Family Season 9 is now on DVD! New episodes when Season 10 arrives will be available on Digital the day after broadcast beginning September 27.
ABC’s Modern Family is one of the most beloved and awarded comedies on television. Earlier this week, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment released the series’ ninth season on DVD! If you haven’t checked it out, we’ve got an exclusive look at the gag reel, which you can check out below and included in the DVD.
Now is the time to catch up with Prtichett-Dunphy-Tucker family before season 10 arrives! Season 10 premieres on Wednesday, September 26.

From the press release: The outrageous Ninth Season of Modern Family revolves around the blended Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan, headed by Jay Princhett (Ed O’Neill).
Jay and his vivacious second wife Gloria (Sofia Vergara) are raising their young son Joe and Gloria’s college-bound son Manny. Meanwhile, Jay’s grown daughter Claire (Julie Bowen) and her husband Phil (Ty Burrell) are becoming empty nesters…while Claire’s brother Mitchell (Jesse Ferguson) and his husband Cameron fumble through nurturing their gifted daughter Lily.
Together, these three unique households give us a hilarious look into the warm, sometimes comical embrace of the modern family.

Laugh while you can, because, even though I’m sure many laughs are ahead come the series tenth season, there is a dark arc coming up that will surely cause a few bumps on the road for the family.
As you may have already heard, a death in the family is on the way. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, show co-creator Christopher Lloyd revealed some heartbreaking news — “a significant character” will die in the first half of the season. Fans are used to crying from laughter watching the series, but this will bring out tears for entirely different reason!
