The third episode of Mayans M.C. had an Easter egg in a very subtle portion of the film. Did you catch it?

Part of the Mayans M.C. enthusiasm undoubtedly comes from Sons of Anarchy fans. Despite the nearly Biblical death of Jax (Charlie Hunnam), the show would definitely been a hit for many, many more seasons. There’s no reason it couldn’t still be on FX, just a different night than Mayans M.C.

Creative genius Kurt Sutter knows how to throw his fans a bone, however, and the “Búho/Muwan” episode has opened up Pandora’s box.

There is news about the Redwood Originals!

If you weren’t watching closely, you may have missed the nod to SOA. When the DEA agent met with Felipe (Edward James Olmos), there was an exchange. Inside the newspaper was a card with a phone number. That phone number is very important.

Here’s the tweet with the phone number!

If you don’t feel like giving the number a call, have no fear. The details are below. The message is pretty amazing for fans.

More from FX

Gemma (Katey Sagal) delivers the following message in a hoarse, smoker’s voice that almost feels a bit exhausted: “Hi, you’ve reached the Teller-Morrow Garage. Nobody’s here to take your call, because we’re all f*cking dead.”

First of all, what does Gemma mean, “all?” Does that mean Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) and Tig (Kim Coates) are also dead? Surely not! They need to make special guest appearances on future episodes of Mayans M.C.! Furthermore, if the agent gave Felipe this message, does that mean the remaining employees/club members at Teller-Morrow Garage are informants?! There has to be more to this voicemail.

dark. Next. Mayans M.C. star Carla Baratta provides details about Adelita!

What do you think about the Mayans M.C. Easter egg? Do you think it means Chibs and Tig are dead? If not, how is the answering machine functional? It’s too simplistic for Kurt Sutter to include that detail without meaning behind it. Leave a comment with your theory!

Mayans M.C. airs Tuesday nights on FX.
