The wait for Rush Hour 4 continues

Contrary to earlier reports saying Rush Hour 4 is finalized, star Chris Tucker has stated it’s still in production.

Color me confused. Chris Tucker appeared on Good Morning Britain and told both Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan that Rush Hour 4 isn’t finalized. The actor said reports at the beginning of the year got out there saying the fourth installment was complete, but that these rumors aren’t true.

What I’m confused about is that, earlier this year, Tucker shared on ESPN’s podcast The Pug that it’s happening, telling the source, “This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don’t ever forget it.”

He continued telling the Good Morning Britain hosts that both Jackie Chan and himself want to do another one, so hopefully this happens. However, the actor also said both he and Chan have a lot of other movies they’re currently working on individually, though.

I’m a Rush Hour fan and I was full of excitement when I heard the news that it was going to happen. I have been waiting since the third installment (which was out in 2003) for another movie!

All three chapters have great comedy, especially with Chan and Tucker. The movies give us great laughs, action and good storylines.

I’m not sure how to feel about the news that the project is taking longer than expected. Jackie Chan is getting old, and he’s going to keep aging as the years go by. Soon, the action star won’t be able to do many stunts. Jackie and Chris have amazing chemistry and they click. It’s always entertaining seeing them both on the screen together.

It could be that they’re working on a better script to make it perfect.
