Mayans M.C. has been an incredible success, produced incredible ratings, and has already been renewed for a second season!
Presidents of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions, Nick Grad and Eric Schrier announced great news for Mayans M.C. fans across the world. They announced their spin-off biker show to Sons of Anarchy is already deserving renewal. FX certainly wasted no time rewarding such a great show for an epic beginning.
There is very good reason for a Mayans M.C. renewal.
Ratings prove the decision is solid.
Mayans M.C. has been killing it in the ratings department. For all Male Demographic categories, the Kurt Sutter and Elgin James drama reigns supreme. Number one in all categories. Additionally, there have been over 8.2 million viewers on average across all platforms.
What’s more, Mayans M.C. is the top new cable show for 2018 in the 18-49 age demographic. Through only three episodes it’s pretty clear Mayans M.C. owns Tuesday nights.

As expected, Sutter and company are definitely feeling good about the decision. Recognition of the already cult-like following is difficult to ignore, and the show is already weaning off the SOA legacy. Grad commented “Mayans M.C. is performing fantastically, proving to be a breakout first season,” and gave kudos to his creative staff.
