1. “Lice Things are Lice”

Season 6, Episode 10

Why it’s a spooky delight: Jumping forward to season 6, the cast and crew of Bob’s Burgers took a different approach when it comes to fear. Instead of focusing on suspense, they focused on a fear both parents and kids alike have: head lice.

The episode starts with Tina assisting the nurse since she’s trying to earn a Thunder Girl badge and it’s all innocent until more kids start showing up in the nurse’s office, resulting in a “super lice” outbreak. Eventually, Tina realizes everything was blown out of proportion and Tammy only has dandruff because Nurse Liz forgot her glasses at home.

This episode is spooky for parents because that’s a lot to try to deal with especially with more than one child. As for kids, Nurse Liz threatens to shave their heads and no kids want to have to deal with that. The episode definitely plays a lot with the fear people have about lice and how something small can be blown out of proportion.

“Lice Things are Lice” does feature an awesome guest spot from Samantha Bee. She plays Nurse Liz to perfection. In her voice, you can hear how unhinged and menacing she can be. There’s just something about Bee’s performance that takes it over the edge.

Those are just 5 episodes that stand out, but here are a few honorable mentions: “Flu-ouise,” “The Silence of the Louise,” and “The Millie-churian Candidate.”
