Halloween celebrations are underway, and the film Halloween is fittingly the king at the box office.

What movie did you check out in theaters this weekend? At the moment, there’s something for everybody at the box office. A slasher film, Halloween, for all those seeking horror thrills. A Star is Born for the Oscar crowd searching for amazing performances and drama. And Venom, for the superhero genre fans.

With another weekend in the books, which movies made it to the top 10? We’ve got all the details, and the full top ten countdown, below!

Slasher films, as big as a fan base they may have, aren’t often able to climb to the top of the charts. Well, never underestimate the power of horror, Halloween has managed to cross $100 million domestically. The movie continue to surprise us with its box office success.

Halloween, which was made with a reported considerably small budget of $10 million, has already slashed up $172.2 million worldwide. This total includes $126.6 million domestically, and $45.6 million internationally. With such big numbers, it’s a safe bet a sequel will follow.

Following at number two is Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born with $14.1 million. The $36 million drama now has a grand total of $253.3 million.

In third, you’ll find Venom. The movie found success overseas, now sitting with an international total of $321.1 million. Compared to its domestic $187.2 million, it’s pretty great. Glad it found its audience somewhere.
