Charmed Season 1, Episode 4 sees The Elders show up. Of course, every Classic Charmed fan will roll their eyes at this. The Elders are never helpful and it looks like that’s going to be the case in this show. Here’s what to expect in “Exorcise Your Demons” and how to watch it live online.

Virginia Williams guest stars as Charity, the Elder who has news on how to handle the Harbinger of Hell. The last we saw, the sisters had trapped Angela Wu in the attic to find a way to exorcise the demon out of her. They want to save the innocent and it’s something I love about this reboot.

Well, that’s going to get turned on its head. Charity shares there isn’t a way to save the innocent and she clearly doesn’t care. Once again, the Elders just aren’t that great. They don’t care about the people living on Earth, just as long as magic isn’t exposed and demons are tackled. Yeah, I’m on Mel’s side–I don’t agree with that happening.

Mel turning to Maggie and Macy to deal with this makes sense. And I can see Maggie and Macy feeling the exact same way as Mel. What about Harry, though? Is he willing to go against his bosses? Leo used to, so why not Harry?

Meanwhile, it looks like we’ll see more juggling of personal and magic lives. This is something I’m looking forward to seeing play out more. I know there are fans who don’t like the sorority storyline and want Maggie to stay with her sisters, but I see that as magic winning. Maggie should be able to live away from the house. After all, this house doesn’t have a Nexus. At least, not one that has been mentioned yet.

And she’s not the only sister struggling to deal with her personal life. Macy and Mel will also need to find a balance and showing a real balance is important.
