Riverdale Season 3, Episode 4 preview: Will the past reveal answers in the present?

In the latest episode of Riverdale, we’re flashing back to the parents as teens to learn the origins of Gryphons & Gargoyles and other sordid secrets.

After taking a brief break on Halloween, Riverdale is back to flash back to the past and give us some answers about the Gargoyle King. As we know, the parents have something to hide, and Alice hasn’t been forthright with Betty about the secrets she’s holding close to the vest. But she can’t hold onto these secrets much longer since Gryphons & Gargoyles has dangerously swept through Riverdale High. It’s time to go back to the ’90s.

In the latest episode, Betty confronts Alice about the Gargoyle King and what she might know, prompting Alice to start at the beginning of the story. Fortunately, we watch the whole story unfold with the younger cast playing their parental counterpart and Mark Consuelos’ son Michael stepping into to play young Hiram. When the group were juniors in high school, they played Gryphons & Gargoyles, and ever since, a chilling mystery has haunted them.
