Charmed recap: Maggie tries to recreate the perfect Christmas
Charmed’s fall finale brought us Christmas time in Michigan. Maggie tried to recreate the perfect Christmas, while Parker’s family attempts to rid him of his human side.
It’s Christmas time in the world of Charmed. Maggie attempts to recreate Marisol’s perfect Christmas and it’s definitely time for daddy issues. Meanwhile, Parker’s family attempts to rid him of his human side and Galvin turns up at the house and Mel attempts to infiltrate the half-witches, half-whitelighter group.
Mel joins the Sarcana

Charmed picks up where the previous episode left off. Mel wakes up in the tattoo parlor where the witch-whitelighter group meets. Mel convinces Jada she wants to join and finally, the crows make sense. Yes, it looks like these are the ones that killed Marisol in the pilot episode.
Of course, Jada said that Marisol was an ally of the Sarcana so are the crows a red herring? Those crows came because Marisol needed help from some very powerful demon. At the very end, Jada makes it clear she has big plans for Mel.

Parker’s mom helps him become a full demon
While Alastair is more than happy to make his son a full demon, it’s initially surprising to find out his mom wants him to lose his human house. However, she explains that she just doesn’t want to lose her son and as a parent, I can relate. All he needs is the collective powers of the Charmed Ones.
During the episode, it’s clear that Alastair has a bigger plan. Alastair wants to turn Parker into the Source of All Evil. By banishing the human side, Parker will no longer be weak.
Christmas time at the Vera-Vaughn home
With Maggie focused on recreating the perfect Christmas, bringing all her mom’s traditions out. Of course, it can’t be a witchy Christmas without the demons or the real-life drama. Both boyfriends show up, creating all sorts of problems.
Parker brings Maggie a gift — the necklace he stole from the church that happens to be the one needed to help drain the Charmed Ones of their powers. When Macy sees Parker and Galvin together, Galvin’s mark shines out. She’s sure Parker is evil.
Macy decides to call Mama Ross, who makes it clear that the mark glowing is a bad sign. Now if only Macy could pass on the bad news. Hunter shows up and knocks her out. As it looked in the trailer, Hunter takes on Macy’s form. When Hunter/Macy tries to get in, he’s forced out of the home and shares some clearly fake information about the mark. However, it looks like Mel believes her.
Meanwhile, Parker shares that his “illness” may have a new experimental treatment. Just as they speak, the necklace changes color and Mel sees it happen. Mel is immediately worried but Maggie refuses to believe that Parker is evil. What’s worse is that she finds out her dad can’t make it for Christmas after all. It shouldn’t be surprising that Mel thought this was going to happen.
Getting to the bottom of the necklace
When Parker consoles Maggie, he decides to take the necklace off Maggie without her realizing. Mel saw it, though, and relays the news to Hunter/Macy.
Mel uses this chance to find out more about the necklace, which happens to be in the Book of Shadows. While Mel finds out that Parker is trying to steal their powers, Henry hears a now awake Macy call for him for help. Of course, Hunter/Macy is in the room and Henry knows there’s trouble.
Why did Henry mention anything? He should have just disappeared for the real Macy. Instead, Hunter/Macy has the chance to push Henry out of the attic window. As a fight between the sisters and Hunter breaks out, Parker steps in showing off his demon side.
When Hunter starts to attack, Mel tries to freeze him. Her tattoo glows and the Sarcada come to save the day. It’s not enough to save Maggie, who is taken by Parker in his Shadow Demon form so he can explain everything. It’s too little, too late. Maggie walks away.
Just when it looks like it’s over, Hunter shows back up. Parker shows up with the staff from the priest and opens that portal to Hell. Hunter is pulled into it, but he pulls Harry and the staff in at the same time. All that’s left is a cross from the staff.
Oh, and Galvin sees it all happen. The truth is out just in time for the winter break.
