Fan theory claims Rocket Raccoon and Pepper will save Iron Man

The latest Marvel fan theory surrounding Avengers: Endgame to pop up on Reddit suggests that Rocket Raccoon and Pepper Potts will be the pair who will save Iron Man in his moment of distress.

Marvel Studios dropped the trailer for Avengers: Endgame last week, causing fans to panic about Tony Stark. In the trailer, fans see Iron Man stuck adrift in space, and running out of food, water, and oxygen.

It ended up being revealed by Audi, which supplies a car for Tony Stark in the film, that Iron Man does survive and return to Earth. However, fans have been wondering how. One Marvel fan may have found the answer.

In the trailer, you can see that Stark is sending a message to Pepper Potts, on the ship that once belonged to the Guardians of the Galaxy. So it would be believed that Rocket makes an assist along with someone close to Stark.

According to Reddit user Dresudi, Rocket is looking for his friends, who he does not know died.

"“I think that when he asked the Avengers for a ship, they will direct him to Stark Enterprises. I think he will then meet Pepper, who is also trying to find Tony and both of them will travel to space together via a Stark spaceship.”"

Pepper will be there in her “Rescue” armor that has been shown in leaked photos. This will lead up to an emotional moment where Rocket Raccoon learns of his friends’ demise.

This would be a proper end to Tony Stark’s arc, being rescued by Pepper Potts, which began by him rescuing his at-the-time assistant in the first Iron Man film. While there are endless fan theories surrounding Avengers: Endgame, don’t expect all these theories to be more than just fan fiction. However, Marvel Studios is expected to pack in the fun and surprises as they wrap up this decade-long story.

Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo have warned fans that they were only looking to satisfy themselves and not a broader audience. The Russo’s have said that they work to satisfy themselves first before everyone else.
