When does Dynasty return to The CW in 2019?

What happened to Steven? Will Blake help Culhane? Does Jeff survive? Here’s when all your Dynasty questions will be answered in 2019.

When it comes to holiday episodes, Dynasty does them best. But we’re not talking celebrations. Sure, the Carringtons go all out and pull out all the stops for Christmas. However, they can never seem to manage to make it through a holiday without someone getting kidnapped or held at gunpoint or any other life-threatening jaw-dropper. Well, this Christmas was no different for the Carringtons, but we’ll have to wait until 2019 to find out what happens next.

Following it’s shocking midseason finale, Dynasty will take a short break for the Christmas and New Year’s Eve holidays. Season 2 will pick back up on Friday, Jan. 18 at its regular time of 8/7c. You’re going to want to remember that date and clear your schedule to make sure you’re front and center for the answers to all of those lingering questions. For starters, how did Steven suddenly go missing, and where has he gone? Will Jeff make it through Culhane’s accident?

As of this writing, there’s no details or information available on what to expect from Episode 10 in January. If there were an episode title, synopsis, or photos we could hypothesize what the future holds for the Carringtons. For now, Dynasty leaves us with that super twisty midseason finale, which included Claudia dropping a fake baby off the roof of a motel, confessing to the murder of Cristal (OG, as Fallon calls her), and getting hauled off in handcuffs.

If that wasn’t quite enough drama to keep your blood pumping, Kirby figured out that Manny the manny kidnapped Little Blake (did we call it, or did we call it?), and when she confronts him at his apartment, he holds her at knifepoint. Oh, but that’s not all. Jeff discovers Culhane was responsible for the smoke bomb incident at Club Colby and calls him out at the very worst time. When Culhane realizes Ada has him running drugs, a drop-off goes wrong and Jeff gets shot.

There will be more than a few pieces to pick up post-holiday when we reunite with the Carringtons in the new year. Culhane’s call to Blake will save both Culhane’s and Jeff’s lives, though Culhane might be harder to save. Sammy Jo must face the reality of giving up Little Blake to his paternal grandparents and Steven’s disappearance. For once, Fallon’s hands are clean — even if Blake did try to blame Cristal’s death on her. That’s a low blow, even for Blake.
