2. Who is the Witch

Desperate for a way to cure his girlfriend (Selina does that little not-so-fast hiss on hearing that word), Bruce makes his way into the dark to find the aforementioned “Witch” who turns out to be…Ivy Pepper. They meet in a dingy greenhouse where she has a bunch of men tied to the walls with vines, who apparently has gained the ability to manipulate plants to do her bidding.

Bruce manipulates some poor saps who trapped Ivy, fearing her magic, so that he can talk to Ivy. She tells him about a mystical seed that could cure even severed spines. The entire time she is entreating Bruce to free her from the room because “the park” is behaving strangely and she fears the plants. Bruce, you sweet naive boy, don’t fall for her batted eyes.

Oh, but of course he does free Ivy, and she immediately kills every other man in the greenhouse (whoever could have seen that coming except everyone?). Ivy reveals that she’s feeding the men she’s bound to the Earth with her plants and intends to use Master B for fertilizer.

His life in Ivy’s hands/stems, Bruce tries to get out of this by taunting her, saying her garden is full of death and not beauty. And for some reason, this works. Ivy agrees to help him cure Selina and I have no idea why.

Ivy digs up a seed covered in blood and tells Bruce that this grody thing will cure Selina, but it will unlock the darker nature of her angels. Bruce and Ivy part ways with her in the middle of the park, which is basically like leaving the Joker alone in the middle of an explosives factory.

When Bruce returns, Selina agrees to eat the disgusting seed without hesitation. In her mind, she’ll either recover or Ivy will get to finish the job she tried to start in the last episode.

Almost immediately, Selina starts seizing and it looks like she’s done for. But instead, she falls into a brief coma before (shocker) disappearing right as Bruce and the doctors’ backs are turned. But she’s not gone for good, giving Bruce one last goodbye while standing on her own two feet and with a set of cat eyes.
