Deadly Class officially premieres tonight. If you’ve been waiting for it to hit your screens instead of watching online, here’s all the information you need about the Deadly Class series premiere.

It’s the moment we’ve been waiting since October (and earlier) for. The Deadly Class series premiere airs tonight. While it has been available online for some time, there are likely many of you waiting until tonight to watch it live.

Deadly Class is one of the most positively raved about graphic novel adaptations around. If you’ve read the comics, I can guarantee that you will not be disappointed with this adaptation. One of the major plus points is that the creator, Rick Remender, is involved in the running of the series. He’s the one adapting his own content and it means he’s staying as true to the source material as possible.

More from Syfy

The series premiere will introduce the main characters. Some certainly get more screen time than others, while the others have to wait until the second episode to ensure time spent well. However, it’s not disappointing.

Of course, Marcus (Benjamin Wadsworth) is one of those characters you’ll get to meet. He’s the one that kick-starts the whole series, giving you the chance to meet Master Lin (Benedict Wong) and the students of Kings Dominion. Others you’ll meet tonight are Saya Kuroki (Lana Candor), Maria Salazar (María Gabriela de Faría), Willie Lewis (Luke Tennie), and Billy (Liam James).

I will say to look out for stereotypes that do have their layers. At first, it looks like the Nazis are just Nazis and the black gang members and Cartel members are just standard stereotypes of themselves. However, there are secrets everyone is hiding. One who you won’t suspect is a pacifist, but I’ll leave it to you to figure it out before it’s announced at the end of the episode.

There are some laugh-out-loud moments and others that will make you uneasy. While it’s set in the 80s (so worth remembering when it comes to the stereotypes and outfits), it doesn’t always feel it. Yet, the awesome music will remind you of the time period and make you excited for new episodes in the series.

Somethings to keep an eye out for:

  • The changes of personalities between getting Marcus into the school and after he’s in the school
  • Hidden secrets among everyone
  • Nicknames for Legacies and those who are the first in their families to attend
  • How much Master Lin really knows
  • The types of classes the students go through
