Black Panther Oscar nominated for best picture, 7 nominations for the Marvel film

Black Panther is the first comic book movie to have a best picture Oscar nomination. This is one for the history books. Other nominations follow suit for the Coogler directed film. Kevin Feige should be proud!
Black Panther, which stars Chadwick Boseman as the Wakandan ruler, has been Oscar nominated for best picture. This is a historic occasion because this is the first ever comic book movie to have received such an honor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The movie also received nominations for best original song, sound mixing, original score, sound editing, production design, and costume design. The best song nominated was “All The Stars.” I do admit, the costumes were highly colorful and appealing to the eye and worked well with the environment of Wakanda’s cultural theme.

Marvel Studios Kevin Feige is very likely to be proud. The comic book movies, which have sprung forth, have done very well at the box office and the forming of the calumniation of 10 years of interconnected flicks makes it all the more appealing.
Back on January 6 during the Golden Globes, the flick was snubbed, but did receive nominations the year prior for best motion picture drama, best original score, and best original song. Fans weren’t happy with the snub when nominations went elsewhere. Now, Black Panther is back on deck for the Oscars and hopefully it’ll get it’s chance to win those nominations.
Brian Coogler directed the flick and is set to move forward with a Black Panther sequel with no date yet slated. The Oscars will debut come February 21 on ABC. For those who haven’t seen it yet, it is streaming on Netflix.
