3 excellent cartoons you should check out

2. Gravity Falls
Gravity Falls is actually one of my favorite shows of all time. Unfortunately, it only ran for two seasons but not because it didn’t perform well. On the contrary, Gravity Falls was beloved by both critics and fans. But the creator, Alex Hirsch, decided to end it early, both because he wanted to finish on a high note and because the story he had set out to be told had wrapped up.
The entire series sets up a pretty epic ending. I won’t spoil it for those who haven’t seen but Gravity Falls is the type of show you’ll want to rewatch multiple times to scour for all the clues and foreshadowing you missed the first time around.
The story centers around Dipper and Mable Pines, twins who go spend their summer with their eccentric Uncle Stan in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls. Stan runs the local tourist trap, the Mystery Shack, which is full of hoax items he finds, creates himself, and generally lies about. But just because the Shack is a hoax doesn’t mean there aren’t real oddities and mysteries to be solved in Gravity Falls…
The complete series of Gravity Falls is currently available to stream on Hulu. If you’re a mega-fan, you can also buy the collector’s edition from Shout Factory on DVD or Blu-Ray.
