The Shadowhunters premiere raises the stakes and vulnerability for the main characters as they navigate the aftermath of a demonic resurrection and the reign of the Owl demon. Here is our review of Shadowhunters Season 3, Episode 11, “Lost Souls”.

Shadowhunters returns with “Lost Souls,” on Freeform this Monday, February 25. Get your #ShadowhuntersChat Twitter gif skills ready and grab a box of tissues just in case your feels get the best of you. This episode raises the stakes for almost all of the series’ main characters, forcing Shadowhunters and Downworlders alike into heightened situations and foreign experiences with increased vulnerability and danger… But it also still has super cute and uplifting moments, okay?

If you haven’t seen all the released photos for the episode yet, you can check them out here. And keep in mind that sometimes the most important story points are left out of the released still altogether, so if a character you’re really excited to see in the premiere is missing from the photos, it doesn’t mean they still don’t have a large role in the story.

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve found ourselves brought together in a pre-episode review, ShadowFam, and I’m even breaking my own rules and writing a little disclaimer in first-person.

With over a year of (welcomed) spoilers from the cast and creative team, (unwelcomed) spoilers from prop auctions, spoilers from attention-seeking online sites and accounts that think it’s fun to rile up the masses with hints about your favorite ships, and even spoilers from official trailers that showed us clips across the entire season — we’ve been on quite the ride leading up to the premiere.

We’re a week from the first episode of Shadowhunters Season 3B, and it’s time to get even more excited (if possible) about what’s to come in Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 11.

Will this be a spoiler-free review? Yes! …Well, like 98% yes. Whatever has been officially released by Freeform, Netflix, the cast or the creative team about the plot is fair game. And as always, if you *think* I’ve spoiled something while reading this review, that just means whatever actually does happen in the episode is ten times more complicated and detailed than what I’ve written about it here.

My rule of thumb? If you read this review, and were then made to take a quiz on what actually happens in “Lost Souls” — you would absolutely fail that quiz. Sound good? Ready to keep reading?!
