Is Chicago Fire on tonight, March 13?
There’s still no new episode of Chicago Fire tonight. Is there a rerun on March 13? When will the show return?
Chicago Fire is taking another night off from new episodes. Don’t worry! This isn’t anything bad and more just about getting the final episodes of the season filmed to make sure there are no breaks after this. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t an episode on at all.
NBC has scheduled One Chicago reruns throughout the night, so we still get One Chicago Wednesday. For Chicago Fire, it’s the episode “Inside These Walls,” which was the 10th episode of the season.

The winter premiere, we saw Casey and Naomi stuck inside Casey’s apartment as a fire blazed. Fortunately, he managed to find a way out and then it was a week of figuring out who started the fire — because we all knew why! Severide and Kidd also had to make a decision on the future of their relationship.

While reruns are great, when will the show be back with all-new episodes? Unfortunately, there’s no idea about when that will happen just yet. On Mar. 20, there aren’t even any reruns. There’s a three-hour special of The Voice with the look at the best of the Blind Auditions. This does suggest that we might get new episodes of Chicago Fire and the other two One Chicago shows the week after that.
Remember that the break is only for filming and scheduling reasons. Every year, shows need to take time off to allow for extra filming due to the way the filming schedule works. There’s no need to worry about the future of the One Chicago shows, as all three were renewed for another season each.
