On last night’s Vanderpump Rules James continues his hissy fit from being disinvited from Mexico, but Lala will not be outdone and throws a fit herself!

Previously on Vanderpump Rules, James was invited and then disinvited from the group trip to Mexico and took it bad. He insulted both Toms and Katie right in front of Lisa, showing that all that anger management he was taking was doing absolutely nothing.

We catch up to the Vanderpump Rules cast as Sandoval and Lisa try to calm James down. Then Kristen and Katie make amends following the Carter conflict and Lala goes off on everyone at Billie’s brunch. Who rose and fell in this week’s Vanderpump Rules power rankings?

12. Lala (last week’s ranking: 6)

The episode started off “innocently” enough for Lala, where during a discussion with Stassi and Ariana at the recording studio, she goes off on James and Raquel. It’s prompted by the other girls talking about how happy they are James won’t be there to spoil their fun time, but Lala takes it beyond just being happy he won’t be there with them in Mexico. She’s almost hoping he dies.

Ariana points out that Lala is being particularly vicious towards the two, for really no reason. I include this because this will be the kindest that Lala ever is towards the pair for the rest of the episode.

But before all that, Lala tries to have a tet-a-tet with Billie at Billie’s brunch at SUR, trying to reconcile where the two went wrong. Billie says she was just questioning Lala’s character, wondering why Lala feels the need to put others (herself and Raquel) down. Lala doesn’t take kindly to having her character questioned, telling Billie she’d rather be called a b-tch than have her character questioned which I fail to understand how that is any better.

So indignant is Lala that she calls Billie a snake and walks off, proving Billie’s point. She then gives us the best line of the episode: “I don’t think I’m better than anyone else, but I know when I’m above someone.” This is Donald J. Trump levels of cognitive dissonance.

Not content with burning the bridge with Billie, Lala then goes after Raquel. This was sparked by Lala after hearing her say something about how Lala uses her father, who recently passed away as a sympathy card.

I want to go on record as saying that’s a really messed up thing for Raquel to do, as people process grief in different ways and at different times. I’m going on record because Lala will proceed to make me completely backtrack this statement and I want it known I didn’t start off as a horrible monster.

Anyway, Lala calls Raquel dumb for about the fifteenth time this season and accuses her of not empowering other women. If only Raquel had a role model like you to learn from Lala. If only.

James hears all of this, so he goes to speak with Lala and tells her that he didn’t appreciate the way she spoke to Raquel. He’s understandably angry but credit to him that he remains calm and contrite throughout the discussion. Lala, of course, has lost the ability to see anyone else’s calm, rational behavior as anything other than a threat to her so she accuses James of mocking her.

She says if Raquel doesn’t want to be called bad names she shouldn’t be a waste of space, once again showing just how women should empower each other. Then, she calls James useless, says he’ll never accomplish anything (even though he points out that he has a job doing what he wants while she is getting pity acting jobs from her sugar daddy), and ends by calls Raquel dumb again.

Eventually, she storms out after Billie tries to quiet her down for interrupting brunch, so Lala feels the need to throw a final dig back at Billie for having the audacity to *checks notes* wanting Lala to act professionally at her job. Billie makes a snide comment about Lala’s dress being from the 90s which is a sick burn I think (again, straight male), but Lala shoots back that this was the iconic JLo look from 2000. My question to Lala is this: who paid for that dress? Hmmmm?
