Dynasty power rankings: Have Adam’s twisted plans finally gone up in flames?
By Reed Gaudens
Fallon finds a formidable foe in Liam’s mother, Adam’s dirty tricks are exposed, and Dynasty reveals what’s next for Alexis’ ever-evolving face journey.
With three episodes remaining in Season 2, things are heating up at the manor as Dynasty ties up as many loose ends as it frays. Picking directly up with Adam’s latest bout of puppet-mastering, he winds up in Fallon’s crosshairs just as Liam’s mother returns to stir up trouble with her own serving of manipulation. Have each of their games been hacked?
Meanwhile, Alexis continues to struggle with her appearance, leading to the series answering our very pressing and lingering questions about the character’s future. From powerful to powerless, we’re ranking Carrington manor’s best and brightest on their quest for control. Here’s how the power struggle stacked up in the latest episode of Dynasty Season 2. (Warning: Spoilers ahead!)
1. Fallon

There’s nothing Fallon Carrington can’t handle in stride and in style. First, after Fallon and Liam’s relationship gets leaked to TMZ with a photo from the masquerade party, bookstores starting backing out on Liam’s book and online trolls have effectively thrown the #FallonCarringtonIsOverParty. She holds a press conference and settles it faster than Olivia Pope could have.
Next, Liam’s mother Laura (guest star Sharon Lawrence) washes back up at the manor and threatens the pair with a lawsuit, claiming she doesn’t like her portrayal in the book. Fallon gathers an armada of legal eagles to unleash a thousand counter-suits, then Laura announces she’s suffering from stage-four cancer. Of course, Fallon quickly gleans Laura’s simply praying on Liam’s empathy to break them apart, and guess what — the blood work Fallon steals proves as much.
2. Blake and Cristal
Not to give Blake and Cristal too much credit for doing bad things, but, like… they did those bad things extremely well. Looking to merge the family businesses, Blake has his sights set on bringing sports betting to Atlanta, which will entail pressuring a senator to legalize gambling in Georgia. The two play Bonnie and Clyde to set-up the senator’s husband to use as blackmail in their meeting with the deciding voter. They get their way, and the rich keep getting richer.
3. Sammy Jo and Anders
Has there ever been a pair quite like Sam and Anders? You’d think that post-divorce Sam would be hitting the clubs and scrolling through apps, but he’s instead taken to private investigations with Anders. Per Fallon’s orders, Sam looks into who took the photo of her and Liam at his party, and it requires quite the scanning of hundreds of photos.
But the unstoppable duo officially confirms to Fallon that Adam took the photo and sent it to the media, among other infractions. Samders has your number, Adam!

4. Alexis
Most viewers will wonder why Alexis made the leaderboard when she spent the majority of the episode running around the manor whining about her face, but she played an integral role in pinning Adam for his wrongdoings. She learns that Adam handed a photo of Fallon to her surgeon, but when she confronts him for sabotaging her relationship with Fallon, he works her over with tears and guilt.
Regardless, she clues Fallon in on Adam’s schemes, though she still harbors an uncharacteristic but impressive love for her son. Now that Alexis has used her power for good, she’s off to Europe, where she will be for “a while” (a.k.a. until next season) to get another new face.
Who will she return as in Season 3? Whoever she’ll be, we can all agree that Elizabeth Gillies’ impression of Nicollette Sheridan’s Alexis was the hands-down highlight of the season.
5. Adam
Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Unfortunately, Adam got a little cocky and a little messy. Doesn’t he know he has to immaculately cover his tracks with this crowd? Adam’s power plummets as more and more Carringtons realize what he’s been up to behind the scenes, but Fallon’s wise enough to stifle her combative instincts and allow him to think she’s sworn a truce.
She has plans for her brother yet. Perhaps his worst mistake was pairing up with Liam’s mother. You played your hand a bit too far there, pal. Good luck going to war with Fallon Carrington!
Honorable mentions:
- While Adam’s house of lies starts to crumble, he did complete his goal of slowly taking down Jeff by poisoning his office. But he saves him, too, so… bonus points?
- Culhane builds a case against Blake and turns himself into the FBI in an effort to land an immunity deal. Let’s hope whatever evidence he threw into that box actually has merit and he didn’t just make the worst decision of his life.
- Quick questions: Where did Kirby go? Also, if Alexis goes to Europe, wouldn’t she visit Steven and learn the truth?
