When does Big Brother 21 start on CBS? And when will CBS introduce the BB21 cast?

The Big Brother 21 start date is getting closer, even though no official announcement has been made by CBS. It means that it won’t be too long until the BB21 cast is introduced on social media. Back on April 24, casting director Robyn Kass hinted that some semi-finalists had been contacted in the casting process. She also noted that “No we r not even close to being cast.[sic]”

When does Big Brother 21 start?

Typically, the new season begins on the fourth Wednesday in June. Taking a look at the 2019 calendar, it could mean that the Big Brother 21 start date falls on Wednesday, June 26. This would allow the show to have a two-night season premiere and roll out several episodes before the Fourth of July holiday.

This is just an educated guess based on previous seasons of the show, but it would make sense for CBS to get things started in that final week of June. It would allow plenty of time to roll out all of the episodes before the fall schedule starts up on Wednesday nights in September.

Is BB21 cast ready? When will CBS announce cast?

With so much time until the season premiere, it’s definitely possible that show producers and Robyn Kass haven’t made their final decisions on the BB21 cast. They could still be fine-tuning the group of contestants to make sure that the summer 2019 season has interesting houseguests ready to go. It also seems far too early to start letting people know they are finalists.

Working with the prediction of a June 26 Big Brother 21 start date, it would then make sense for the BB21 cast to be revealed on the Monday from the previous week. That would be Monday, June 17, which would give a nice lead for CBS to heavily advertise the new season of the hit reality competition. It would also leave a lot of time until CBS has to make that official announcement.

Before the Big Brother 21 start date finally comes around, fans of the show can check out new episodes of The Amazing Race on Wednesday nights. There are three teams of former Big Brother houseguests taking part in the race, and that includes Britney Haynes and Rachel Reilly. New episodes of that other CBS reality competition show take place at 9/8c each Wednesday night following the weekly episode of Survivor.
