Liv was on Fitness Guru Brain during iZombie Season 5, Episode 2 but that wasn’t one of the major takeaways. Here’s a look at the important moments from Dead Lift that push the final season forward.

We’re two episodes into the iZombie final season and there have been casualties in the war between humans and zombies. Tensions were brewing in the premiere but did we really expect some of our Chase Graves favorites to do down?

And if that wasn’t enough, tensions are brewing within the various factions. Clive runs through all the highs and lows of having a pregnant wife, while playing Dungeons and Dragons with his friends, and Peyton continues to navigate politics as acting mayor. Here are the major plot points from iZombie Season 5, Episode 2 that certainly push the final season forward.

5. It was all fake news

Remember the attack during the first episode? Well, the premiere left us wondering whether the guy’s girlfriend was the victim. It turned out she was just on some psychedelic trip and was having an affair. That was one mystery solved quickly.

Clive and Liv needed to get back on the case, only to find out that the attack was actually faked. It was all human propaganda to make it look like zombies were attacking humans. That really isn’t surprising when you think about the zombie-haters out there. They’ll do anything to cause fear and are domestic terrorists.

Something needs to be done. While the news finds out that the attack was faked – and the humans Liv smuggles out confirm this – it’s clear that not everyone is going to be happy or view zombies as friends. The threat of war continues.
