American Princess Season 1, Episode 3 preview: Brian tries to loosen up

Lifetime’s raunchy and delightful renaissance fair dramedy, American Princess, returns with its third episode. Amanda tries to fit in with the Queen to disastrous results.

I hope by now you’ve watched the first two episodes of Lifetime’s excellent new summer series, American Princess. Amanda has officially abandoned her posh Upper East Side life for the raunch and grit of the Renaissance Faire. Her acclimation to the fair life hasn’t been an easy one.

While she has cemented in friendships with people like David and Delilah she is struggling to get Maggie, the Queen, to like her. Arguably, Maggie’s respect is of utmost importance to have an easy go of it at the Ren Faire. Amanda may be good at flaunting her assets for tips as a certifiable bar wench but she’s yet to master the right way to curtsy.

The third outing of the Lifetime series will focus on Amanda’s attempts to win the Queen’s favor. Let’s just say, she might get more than she bargained for whilst pursuing that endeavor.

Amanda isn’t the only fair participant who is trying to change their image. Brian gets a guest spot on an NPR radio show to talk about his performance as William Shakespeare. When it doesn’t go over well he realizes he might need help in learning how to loosen up. Good thing he has the resident king of mud, David, to help him do just that.
