Good Witch renewed for Season 6: Who isn’t returning?

Hallmark has renewed its top-rated show, Good Witch, for a sixth season. However, the renewal comes with the news of one cast member leaving.

Good Witch may only be weeks into its fifth season, but there’s already some good news. Hallmark has renewed the series for a sixth season. However, the good news is slightly bittersweet with the announcement of one original character exiting the show.

Don’t worry, it’s not Catherine Bell. However, it is Bailee Madison, who plays her daughter on the series. Right now, it’s not entirely clear how Madison’s Grace will leave the show, but it’s highly possible that it will be a college-related storyline. One of the great things about the timing is that the end of the season should see Grace graduate from high school, so the exit is a natural progression.

This is the only confirmed exit at this time. That will mean, for the most part, that the sixth season will feel like every other season. We’ll still get the fun and laughter from Bell, James Denton, Rhys Matthew Bond, Sarah Power, and more.

Good Witch’s renewal shouldn’t be that surprising. The comedy-drama is Hallmark’s number one scripted show among women between 25 and 54, according to Deadline. It’s the flagship scripted series, along with When Calls the Heart, which was also recently renewed for a seventh season.

Details for the sixth season haven’t been released yet. However, it’s suspected to have 10 episodes, like previous seasons have. Good Witch Season 5 is currently at the halfway point, with Episode 6 slated to air on Sunday, July 7. The season finale is slated for an Aug. 11, 2019.
